 The Health & Social Care Research & Development Division of the Public Health Agency (HSC R&D Division) in conjunction with the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC) is pleased to announce a second Doctoral Fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care to support and develop research capacity across the island of Ireland.  The role of the Centre for Maternal, Fetal and Infant Research, 1 of the 4 research centres of the INR, in co-ordinating a European network of registries for the surveillance of congenital anomalities (EUROCAT) has been featured in the Irish Times. Prof McCormack, Head of the Institute stated: 'I am very pleased that the EUROCAT study has been featured in the wider media. EUROCAT currently surveys more than 1.7 million births per year across 21 countries, and this data is analysed here at Ulster.'
