Dr. JianDong Huang

Jiandong is from Xiamen, China. He originally came to the UK for his PhD course which was on coastal morphodynamics. His PhD work involved coastal field observations which were largely on dynamic beach morphology using GPS-RTK techniques and involved wave simulation using artificial neural network models, tide calculations for harmonic parameters and prediction, spatial modeling of beach morphology and analysis of beach evolution models.

Jiandong joined the Geophysics Research Group in 2005. His work covers calculation of stress using data obtained from earthquake catalogues over the Internet.
