CAA Center - Based at the University of Luton an established under a TLTP3 project in conjunction with the University of Loughbourough, Glasgow and Oxford Brookes. The Director is Joanna Bull.

CASTLE - Devised at the University of Leicester, free software which is easy to use, delivered over the web but you register to MCQ's.

TRIADS - Devised under a TLTP/FDTL project by the university of Derby, University of Liverpool and the Open University (hence TRIADS - Tripartite Interactive Assessment Delivery System). Uses Macromedia Authorware at the authoring language. Main strength is the number of templates devised and creative academic input. However, it is not overly user friendly to those who simply wish to author questions. Initial version is supplied free of charge.
